Alden 987 Black Shell Cordovan LHS / Penny Loafer

Alden combination sizing with an E forefoot width. Made in New England on Alden’s classic Van last, with handsewn moccasin construction, 360-degree welt and leather soles. Good pre-owned condition with normal wear from use. Shell cordovan uppers show characteristic rolling, light scuffs and surface marks but no obvious cracking or major structural damage. Interiors show normal footbed wear and discoloration. Leather soles show moderate wear. Heels have rubber toplifts and remain very usable. No box or shoe trees included. Lined with leather. Made from Horween color 8 shell cordovan. Shaped over the Van last tagged a size US 11, E width. Size 8 C/E. Van last. C width heel, E width toe box. Purchased preowned and had them resoled at a local cobbler. Some loose stitching where the vamp meets the collar on the right shoe (pictured). Some rolls have developed but could be rolled out with bone/your preferred method. Or left as is. Kept in shoe trees. They lived a whole life before I wore them for a short time but have plenty of life left. The Cordovan is sturdy and there are no cracks or concerning wear.
