There are a small number of small, light marks at the toes of both shoes. The footbeds have noticeable impressioning from previous use, consistent with that of a shoe that has been resoled. These shoes have been resoled, the replacement soles are very firm to the press and in good condition.. The replacement heels show very light edge wear to the rubber part of the toplift. These shoes have a slightly wider welt than Alden's standard van lasted penny loafers as indicated by the ”Y” at the end of the model number. These shoes are presented with creasing at the vamps and surface scuffing and marks at the toes and back heel area of both shoes. In particular, the heel area shows marks and scuffs. The stitching is coming loose at the inside right penny strap - this is common for Alden's loafers and can be repaired by a cobbler. The soles show wear but are very firm to the press with about 65% of their original life remaining. The heels show light edge wear to the rubber part of the toplift. Rare and great condition Alden Whisky Cordovan Penny Loafer 9.5 D.

This is a pair of Alden 10.5 D Whiskey Shell Cordovan Leisure Handsewn Loafers is model 99841Y. These are made on Alden's Vann Last. Please see all pictures, as they include a missing stitch and some watermarks on the vamp. However, there are no tears, cracks or holes in the shell cordovan. This pair is from my personal collection and has been well cared for. There is a very substantial amount of sole left. The vibram soles really have made this pair last.
