I bought these and I never wore them. tried one on in the store and never used them. They look blue sometimes in certain lighting but was advertised as black suede when purchased. These have a lovely gold threading offset to the main color. Alden shoes take a few wears to break in. Once broken in the inner sole and cork in the shoe mold to your foot print. These will be one of the most comfortable loafers you will own. Alden shoes are hand made in America. One of best shoes you can put on your feet. Alden shoes are made to last a lifetime. Alden also has a program to overhaul the shoe for 120$ when they have been worn out. This is a Great loafer. I paid over 600$ for them. New in the box. Never worn other then trying on in store.
