Alden D4204F Brown Chromexcel LHS / Penny Loafer

Solid pair of classic Alden loafers -- the legendary Leisure Handsewn. This pair is marked D42047, a seemingly uncommon model. The footbed is stamped ”Bootmaker Edition” which relates it to Alden's exclusive line for The Shoe Mart. The model number doesn't match TSM's current catalog but by all accounts this is the Alden LHS in Chromexel, a rich medium brown leather that will dress up or down perfectly. They retail for over $500. Very good used condition with typical mild surface scratches and scuffs and average wear to the soles and heels. No deep scratches, loose seams, stains or replaced soles. The only issues I see are some spotting on the top of the left shoe where something must have spilled and would surely come out with some polish; and the footbeds have loosened and curled a bit -- easily remedied. Note I have not polished the shoes so they are sure to brighten up even more. Tagged size 10D the soles measure 12 3/8” long x 4 1/4” at the widest point. Shoe trees not included.
