I've worn these VERY little. Like, less than 5 times. These look a little lighter than in the photographs to me - more like a "scotch" brown, closer to tan than dark brown. They are very, very nice. The leather has a pebble-grain on them. These include bags (what the boots are resting on in the photo!), but no boxes (Alden boxes aren't very good, FYI). I *do* include nice cedar shoe trees - but NOT the boot trees pictured. Yes, you should always keep shoes trees in your Alden boots - they will last you forever. Know your size - no returns on this. My sizing advice: in sneakers, I am a perfect 12.5 and slightly-wide. In Alden, I'm a 12-to-a-12.5, depending on the last and sock. The markings on these say "12 B/D" (what I would call a size 12).
