Made in USA, Alden model D6423 is typically a handsewn Norwegian Front monk strap. However, this shoe never received the handsewing as it was determined to have finishing defects at some point during production, so was stamped as a Reject (denoted by the R stamp on the sole). I acquired these shoes and decided to have some fun with them, to see what might be possible if I sun-faded them from their original dark Color 8 color to something lighter. They already had some funky coloring issues when I acquired them, and after fading they developed a lot more. The shell cordovan leather and the shoe itself are in very good condition - it's only been worn 4 or 5 times, never for any extended period of time. The color tone is now in Horween's/Alden's Color 4 range, however as you see from the photos it has some incredible spotting. It would be a good casual kick around shoe with denim, or if someone wished to invest a few extra dollars I imagine someone (Alden) could potentially re-finish with new coloring and get them re-darkened (just a guess - no promises on that front). These are US size 10.5D built on Alden's Plaza last, so please know your Plaza last size. These will be shipped in a generic white shoe box, without felt bags. I'm happy to answer any questions.
