If you do not know your Alden size, please refer to their website for in-depth sizing. The color takes on a fed different characteristics when in the sun. The boot looks mostly brown but as you can see in the pics, a rich, maroon red comes out, very similar to the no. 8 color. The original boot came with pull up tabs in the back and have been removed. Since this is not a Chelsea boot, the pull tabs were completely cosmetic and many people prefer them removed so they do not interfere with more tapered pants.
