Based on Alden’s iconic Jumper boot, a style with military roots, this rugged-yet-refined style is crafted from reverse chamois suede (a.k.a "rough out suede") in a rich Tobacco. The leather is heavily oiled, giving it a deep, natural patina that gets better with wear. Finished with brass eyelets, a perforated cap toe and Alden’s signature Commando sole, The Bedford Boot is built for year-round wear and long-term dependability. Named after the town where we opened our first store, the boot reflects the character of Bedford, New York: rugged horse country just outside the city, where muddy fields and country roads require a boot as stout as this one. The Bedford Boot is built on the Barrie Last, Alden's most popular last. The Barrie Last runs about a 1 full size larger than a standard US shoe size and is known for its voluminous shape and almond toe. The Barrie last is known to fit many different foot types comfortably. These are sold “ as is “ When I got them they felt damp on the outside, dry inside. I don’t know if they were washed or conditioned but after a day they still feel damp. No musty smell . Otherwise these are in excellent condition. A very handsome boot. Please ask any questions before purchasing.
