Up for sale a very lightly used pair of Alden Whole Cut Balmorals made exclusively for Brick and Mortar Seattle using the Plaza Last. These are made from Horween Color 8 Shell Cordovan whole cut upper, which makes the entire upper out of one piece of leather, using with only one seam per shoe, on the back. This shoe is a particularly elegant design from Alden, with the whole cut design and the very well-shaped Plaza last paired with an antique welt and sole edge and 4 blind eyelets. These have single oak leather outsoles, and Alden's standard leather linings and insoles, cork midsole, goodyear welt construction, and a steel shank. They've always had Alden cedar shoe trees (included), and they'll ship with Alden shoe bags. They're not brand new, but they've only been worn at most ten times and have been very well cared for. Brick and Mortar has run this shoe with Alden a few times now, and they cost $750 + $35 more for the trees, so you'd be $785 + tax out the door, not to mention that these typically only sell as a preorder, so you'd usually have to wait ~6 months from ordering to get them. I hate to let these go, but I've had them for 2 years and they haven't even seen more than ten wears, so someone else should have them. I have too many pairs of Aldens, so I'm letting a few go. Shoes are packed and boxed exactly as they were when sent by Alden. This is a custom special order - only 12 pairs made. I had to wait nearly a year for these after ordering. During that time I discovered that I prefer the fit of the Barrie last for my feet, so am selling this pair.
