Alden D8516C Color 8 Shell Cordovan Straight Tip Blucher

Thanks for considering a purchase of this Alden #D8516C Cap Toe Blucher made in Horween's Genuine Shell Cordovan, Color 8. Regular MSRP is $963 as seen at AldenMadison.com. This is a pair of new/unworn FD (factory second) shoes: the right shoe has some very small scratches on the inside quarter, and the left shoe has a small scuff on it's inside quarter. I've photographed these to make the blemishes appear as obvious as possible, however in real life they are more subtle - depending on viewing angle they are often not noticeable, and could possibly be diminished further with additional polish. These have a combination leather/rubber Commando sole with the lugs set in slightly from the edge, so they maintain a cleaner dressier profile, but still provide great traction, rugged function and durability. The 360º antique reverse welt frames the shoe nicely and give this dress-casual shoe a sportier appearance, so this shoe works well as both a dress shoe with suits and sport coats, but easily dresses down and can be worn with denim. These are Made in USA with genuine Goodyear Welt Construction on Alden's Barrie last, which runs a bit large. These are size 10D but would fit most guys that normally wear a true to size 10.5 dress shoe, or size 11 running shoe. For comparison I wear a size 11D Nike, size 10.5D Allen Edmonds Park Avenue, size 10D Red Wing Iron Ranger and 10D Alden Indy Boot, and this pair of 10D for sale fits me well. These were tried on and walked around in at home briefly (note minor creasing in pictures). They were never worn outdoors for any length of time. Being sold to pare down collection.
