For your consideration a lightly used pair of Alden plain toe, slip-on chukka boots. Made on a leather flex welt sole, 360 flat welt with antique edge trim and tonal welt stitching. Made from snuff suede leather. Slip-on, plain toe pattern with with concealed elastic. Tagged a size US 9.5, D width. Shaped over the Plaza last. Great pair of lightly used Alden D8716's. Originally purchased a couple of years back from Brick & Mortar, Seattle; for trips to Japan (where slip ons are a must, unless you want to sit on the ground and tie your shoes 15 times a day). Only worn on 2 or 3 visits there. The suede is in excellent shape. Maybe a little polish and buffing on the visible side of the sole, should bring them up to grade of: very good to excellent.Barrie Last; I find them true to size, although Alden recommends sizing down 1/2 size from your usual Brannock size. (Absolutely true with the TruBalance Last; not so sure I agree with the suggestion for the Barrie Last.)Note* - I have an Alden box, however not THE original box dedicated for this pair. I've bought/sold a number of Alden's through the years, and must’ve mixed up boxes when selling another pair. Shoe bags supplied.
